02 · Control risk
A reason for every redaction, a clock on every case, and a gate every production passes before it leaves. When someone challenges a disclosure, the answer is already on the record.

Validate
Before a production set leaves, Smartbox validates it. Finalised copies are re-read and checked against what you chose to redact, anything unresolved is flagged, and nothing leaves except through one release point.
Productions are numbered across volumes, watermarked, and sealed with a hashed manifest.
SLA support
Statutory and contractual deadlines are built in and always in view. When a clock pauses, it records why — so the timeline stands up if the regulator asks.
Work together
A question, a blocker or a hand-off in a comment moves the work on. Assign documents to a person or a team, and see every queue by stage.

Govern
Information governance belongs with the work, not in a separate spreadsheet.
Holds block deletion and release while a matter is live, and the hold is on the record.
Decide how long each kind of case and its material are kept, and let the schedule act.
Your Record of Processing Activities, kept alongside the work it describes.

Oversee and prove
Case dashboards show what has been found, redacted and is still exposed. Every lifecycle event is recorded, with each redaction’s reviewer and the document’s hash.

The platform proposes; your reviewers decide. No AI model decides what is withheld, and the same input always gives the same result.
Redactions are burned into a new copy and checked again before anything is released.
Every lifecycle event is hash-chained, every redaction is recorded with its reviewer, and every access is logged.
